What do you love most about working at Elliott Davis?

"I appreciate the growth opportunities given to me over the course of my tenure with Elliott Davis. I have held six totally different roles during my time with the firm. Each time, as my skill sets have grown and adapted, the firm has allowed me to pivot those skills into something new that benefits my personal growth as well as the firm’s growth."

Best piece of advice for prospective candidates?

"Be yourself! Be candid about what you want and showcase your best self. Be sure you aren’t trying to fit yourself into whatever version you think the employer wants as an ill-fitting role in the beginning doesn’t become better with time – it simply leads to burnout and disappointment in the long run."

Nashville and Chattanooga

What do you love most about working at Elliott Davis?

"My first week at Elliott Davis, I had a team of eager colleagues signing me up to bake cookies at the Ronald McDonald House. That’s one way to make a great first impression! Happy to report that first impression turned into a lasting one. I’m proud to work for a company with a true, philanthropic spirit!"

Best piece of advice for prospective candidates?

"Curiosity is key. Know Elliott Davis' values and how your strengths align with them."

"Working in an environment that is driven by making positive impacts for its people and community."

Best piece of advice for prospective candidates?

"Try to have as many conversations as possible with professionals. This will only help solidify when you find the right “fit” for your professional journey. There are many ways to meet talented folks from one organization. Attend as many recruiting events as your schedule allows, or just reach out to your local Campus Recruiter for guidance."

What do you love most about working at Elliott Davis?

"My favorite part about working at Elliott Davis is the flexibility. I have always felt encouraged to spend time away from work when needed which is really refreshing. Being able to take the time I need to disconnect from work allows me to come back recharged and more focused."

Best piece of advice for prospective candidates?

"Take time to shop around. Connect with as many firms and people within those firms, in order to give you a good grasp of where you see yourself fitting best. Any firm you interact with, you will likely end up doing the same job as an accountant, but what matters most is how each experience and person you interact with within the firm makes you feel."

you have questions, we have answers.

We're sure you may have questions about the application process. That's why we've answered some frequently asked questions to help you figure out how to best approach this process.

I missed the application this spring, is it too late to apply for an internship?

Our deadline to apply this spring is February 14th. We will reopen our spring and summer 2026 internship applications in August. We offer two distinct internship programs, each tailored to where you are in your accounting program. When the applications become available in August, be sure to apply for the program that best aligns with your current academic stage. Feel free to reach out to the Campus Recruiting Team beforehand, and we’ll be happy to guide you in selecting the right internship for you.

How can I make my application stand out?
  1. Update and Tailor Your Resume: Ensure you are attaching the most recent version of your resume, and make sure it is customized for the specific role. Emphasize skills and experiences that align with the responsibilities of the internship.
  2. Take Initiative: Networking at campus events can significantly boost your visibility. Engaging with recruiters and ambassadors helps us remember you among the many applicants we receive. Take a look at our website to see where we’ll be this semester.
  3. Show Enthusiasm: We want to hire students who are genuinely excited about our firm. Be sure to convey your enthusiasm for the role and explain why you’re interested in joining our team. Articulating your passion for the firm will make a lasting impression.
Do I need to be on the CPA track?

The preference for all future candidates on the traditional tax and audit tracks is to be on the CPA track; however, some specialty roles within consulting and internal audit don’t require that specific license. Speak with a member of the Campus Recruiting Team for more clarification.

Can I apply if I’m still in the early stages of my academic program?

Our internship programs are designed to align with your current academic progress, particularly if you're planning to pursue CPA eligibility. Be sure to review the specific job postings to see if a particular program is more suited for soon-to-be graduates or students who are earlier in their academic journey.

Should I apply for multiple internship roles?

We recommend only applying to 1-2 roles that best align with your skills and interests. If you're unsure which position is the best fit, take the time to review the individual job descriptions or reach out to a member of our Campus Recruiting Team for guidance. As we review your resume, we will also ensure you are considered for the appropriate program and role.

How do I withdraw my application?

To withdraw your application, please make a formal request by emailing careers@elliottdavis.com, with subject: Withdraw Application. Please include the full name and email address used to apply. A confirmation email will be sent to you once your application has been withdrawn.

Can I change offices? Can I choose which office to go to?

This is specific to the position and department. If you have an office location preference, please indicate it on your application and be sure to discuss with one of our recruiters.

Do I need to be a CPA or be on the CPA track?

Some positions will require a CPA or being on a CPA track, and others will not. If required, it will likely be stated in the "requirements" section of the job posting.

Will I work remote, hybrid, or in-person?

Each of these scenarios are possible, but it is position, department, and office specific. Please indicate your preference on the application and a recruiter will happily discuss the options with you.
